Last eNEWS, I shared a story that blew my mind when I first heard it. The story of Caroline’s energetic impact on the cultured veggies she was making.
That story has since become a reference point for my own energetic check-ins.
The take-away from the story was. . .
- WHAT you do matters.
- HOW you’re doing it matters just as much!
Today I have another story to share with you - further to how energy influences our life-experience.
IT INVOLVES CHOCOLATE, SO YOU KNOW IT’S GOTTA BE GOOD!
This story is actually based on a study, published in the Journal of Science and Healing, called “Effects of Intentionally Enhanced Chocolate on Mood”,
Here’s the story . .
In this particular study, participants were to eat a half-ounce of dark chocolate twice daily, at specific times.
- Some of the chocolate had been prepared with the intent that the people who ate it would experience enhanced energy, vigor and wellbeing.
- Some of the chocolate was prepared with NO intention.
The study was conducted as a ‘double blind’ study; meaning that the test subjects and those who administered the test, were completely unaware of which chocolate was prepared with intent.
At the conclusion of the study, all of the formerly-confidential findings were processed, with details about which group had received the placebo.
The amazing thing was, the participants who had received the chocolate prepared with positive intent clearly showed decreased fatigue, increased energy and vigor.
CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE
Researchers concluded that without a doubt, the natural mood-elevating properties of chocolate were enhanced when prepared with positive intent.
In fact, the lead researcher, a pioneer in the mind’s effect on matter, Dr. Dean Radin, stated, “Focused human intention is one of the most powerful forces on earth.”
Wow!
I don’t know about you, but most of my life has been about getting my To DO list done day-to-day; often without giving much thought to what I’ve been doing, and how I’ve been doing it.
NO SMALL THING
Dr. Radin’s years of research has taken him from Princeton, to Stanford Research, and beyond. He estimates that there are well over 1,000 published studies on the power of intent, including research from the US military, Max Planck Institute, Princeton, Harvard and Duke.
These are all esteemed institutions, with research that’s extensive, widely recognized and acknowledged. It’s a growing field of study, as well.
CONCLUSIONS
There are many conclusions we can draw. I’d love to hear of YOUR insights.
One thing that is clearly suggested, is that there’s a vast difference between food prepared by soulless machinery or mindless assembly lines, and meals that are prepared at home, or at a local eatery, where the food is prepared with care, attentiveness, good energy, and positive intent.
It’s all about the intent and energy while preparing the food . . .
And intent, like prayers and blessings, is all about the positive energy one is feeling . . . not just the words one is saying.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
REMEMBER
- WHAT you do matters.
- HOW you’re doing it matters just as much!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
BEYOND CHOCOLATE, MEALS, AND FOOD
The “Effects of Intentionally Enhanced Chocolate on Mood” study clearly showed the powerful influence of chocolate prepared with intent. And, as stated above, over 1,000 other published studies have come to the same conclusion; our energy and intention influence the outcome.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU AND I?
It makes sense to mindfully tune in to our own intent with ANYTHING we’re doing.
What difference might it make if we begin to mindfully tune in to HOW we’re going through our own day. . .
- HOW we’re tending to our work.
- HOW we’re interacting with co-workers.
- HOW we’re interacting with clerks at the store.
- HOW we’re preparing our own meals.
- HOW we’re tending to and speaking with loved ones.
After all . . .
Subtle energies matter.
Much love and many blessings,
