Here's a focused look at the ingredients that create this exceptional synergy of oils:
CASTOR OIL
CASTOR OIL is a fixed oil that’s extracted from the seed of the Castor plant.
It has a rich and lengthy history of use by the ancient wise-ones of Ayurveda and Egypt for relief from pain, as well as in healing practices, skin and hair care, for digestive support. The Chinese are known for using it to reduce inflammation, pain and swelling along with many more uses. In Africa it was used as a healing balm, for exceptional skin care, as well as in ceremonial applications.
These days, it’s a stealth ingredient used in commercial cosmetics – lipsticks, mascaras and moisturizers – due to its natural shine and deep moisturizing abilities.
All of those qualities and more have caught the attention of the natural health world of late. With its unique concentration of vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, along with the unique, rare ricinoleic fatty acid which makes up approximately 90% of its composition, it’s a highly beneficial and favored oil in the present-world of health and healing.
These days we hear frequently of the Castor oil uses for skin, scalp and hair, the ability of Castor oil to penetrate deeply into tissues and bone, along with the pain-relieving anti-inflammatory properties due in large part to the exceptionally high ricinoleic acid content. It’s an oil whose time to shine has arrived.
Our castor oil is organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free and cruelty-free, always stored in dark glass bottles, just as this WholeBody™ moisturizing oil is, to preserve the integrity and freshness of the synergy.
A few of the qualities for which castor oil is used and loved:

· Antifungal and antibacterial qualities have made it a mainstay in balancing fungi, bacteria and viruses of skin and scalp

JOJOBA OIL
JOJOBA OIL is a wonderfully rich, skin-nourishing wax ester that is the closest molecular structure to the human skin oil (sebum) that we are aware of. It is healing, healthy, and balancing to the skin’s oil production.
It spreads and absorbs well; providing all-day moisturization and doesn't evaporate like water-based moisturizers can.
It is theorized, but not yet proven, that because jojoba oil is so similar to human skin oil, it can “trick” the skin into thinking it has produced enough oil and thus balance oil production, particularly in cases of oily skin.
Jojoba is non-allergenic, doesn't clog pores, doesn't become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage.
Wonderful for use with all ages, including infants. Relieves cradle cap.
Perfect for use with any skin type, particularly those with sensitive, irritated, dry or chaffed skin.
Our Jojoba Oil is 100% pure, organic-standard*, first press jojoba (pronounced ho-HO-ba) oil, purchased directly from the source. It's a botanical extract of the seed of the jojoba tree (Simmondsia chinenis).
*Strictest of organic practices are used by the singular grower in the growth, cultivation & harvest of this joboba, but it is without the expensive Organic certification label by the government.
